I started Odyssey for a simple reason: I wanted to finish a novel.
Turns out that’s harder than it sounds. Not just the writing, but the momentum. The tools I tried were either overwhelming, distracting, or clearly built by people who didn’t actually write novels.
So I went looking for something better.
When I couldn’t find it, I did what any reasonable procrastinating writer would do: I started a company instead. With Krati’s help (and a fair amount of coercion), we built Odyssey, a writing platform designed to help authors keep moving and actually finish their books.
Because writing is hard enough. The tools shouldn’t make it harder.
Krati is the technical co-founder behind Odyssey, and the person who somehow pulled a tangle of ideas out of Alexi's head and turned them into a platform that actually works.
With deep experience in software development, data analytics, and natural language processing, he’s built everything from AI chatbots to large-scale, high-performance systems. He’s the reason features like real-time autosave, inline commenting, and a seamless writing flow exist; not just as ideas, but as beautifully functional realities.
